It’s been a good long time since we’ve heard anything new about Louis Leterrier’s remake of the classic Clash of the Titans. But now, after the long silence, a trailer has finally hit the web and gives us our first (non-fatal) glimpse of Medusa and a few other monstrous baddies who have a distinctly Guillermo del Toro-esque look to them. Revisiting the 1981 classic, the new Clash of the Titans stars Sam Worthington (Terminator Salvation) as Perseus, Gemma Arterton (RocknRolla, Quantum of Solace) as Io, and Liam Neeson and Ralph Fiennes as Zeus and Hades.
Leterrier’s two major films thus far have been The Incredible Hulk and Transporter 2, both of which are considered the best and most intelligent films in their respective franchises. As might be expected, Clash of the Titans looks to be leaning heavily in the action flick direction and bears no small resemblance to the Lord of the Rings films.
Clash of the Titans will be hitting theaters on March 26th, 2010 and you can certainly expect to see a good deal more promotion for this film as the release date draws nearer.
